Ran into a girl the other day who is a DJ with a kink--spins disks with one leg behind her head. No, really. She carries pictures. She shows pictures to strangers in restaurants.

Meanwhile, on the store front, we're about to start building the shelves. We dismissed the carpenter this weekend--too pricey, too slow, too inflexible. Man, I just want this finished. Building a score of identical shelves isn't going to be that hard--after we get the practice one done and work out the dimensions, we'll herald Mr. Ford.

Either way, I do like having my hands on it a little. Did some painting, did some of laying the floor. Doing some of the cabinets would make me happy, assuming we do a decent job.

Quick bookstore update: The walls are painted, ceiling dropped, floors laid down, phone on, ADT installed. We need the shelves done. Once they're in, it's Go Speed Racer, Go. Not sure how long they'll take, though. We're looking at failing over to Plan B.
