One resolution I'm keeping this year is to take advantage of this city's arts scene more than I have been. Friday I saw The Tempest at the Shakespeare Tavern--a personal favourite. It was the first play they did in that space, some eighteen or nineteen years ago, and I was there on opening-opening night. Yay me. It was great.
Saturday we saw Pirates of Penzance at The Strand, by the Atlanta Lyric Theatre company. It was excellent. Gilbert and Sullivan presented authentically is not for everybody, but I liked it a lot.
Sunday was family gathering, which included food and jigsaw puzzles and a lot of noise.
I got this for a song.
